
Uprisings in the vegetal kingdom are rare. Yet, today, I sense serious trouble. Even the cacti, generally quiet and happy, in virtual somnolence, look rebellious. The amaryllis, still in her winter mummified state, wears an unpleasant rictus. What is it? Pollution, or unusual vibrations from the new coffee machine? Did I upset them?
