We met briefly for a photo shoot, in 2015, she was lovely, a vey beautiful model. This morning I was looking at those “old” pictures and thought of her. As I was looking at her, her thought slowly drifted to me:
“What could you do differently?”, she was saying.
I thought about that time, and now. Perhaps she was teasing me, or perhaps she had some regret. She’d asked me afterwards to delete a number of those photos we took. Of course I did not.
I replied:
“Whatever I could have done different then, I can do now if I choose to.”
Her look was beaming to me: “you say that, but you and I know, that you can’t anymore.”
I am not so sure. I will re-read the draft, and then resume this work. My ambition is now to finish the novel.
Thank you, Valentina <3
